My pieces are made of high-fire stoneware (white, gray, red, and brown stoneware bodies) or porcelain, meaning that they are fired at 1300 degrees C./2400 degrees F. This entails, first, that my ware is quite sturdy and resistant to the knocks of daily use and, second, that the glazes merge with the clay bodies to a much greater extent than at lower temperatures, melting into multi-layered colors and textures. I make all my own glazes and engobes; all are non-toxic.
Use to enjoy!
